Ciencia en Español desde Salamanca: De la Neurobiología Auditiva de Cajal a la Audiología Contemporánea

La ciudad de Salamanca ha sido, durante siglos, un faro intelectual del mundo hispano. En el Siglo de Oro español (siglo XVI), la Escuela de Salamanca renovó el pensamiento europeo y sentó las bases del derecho internacional moderno, con figuras como Francisco de Vitoria o Domingo de Soto, cuya influencia se extendió por toda Hispanoamérica. Esta tradición humanista, crítica y universal continuó siglos después con la figura del Doctor Santiago Ramón y Cajal, cuya obra científica proyectó al mundo hispanohablante hacia la vanguardia del conocimiento moderno en neurociencia. Tanto el pensamiento de la Escuela de Salamanca como la ciencia de Cajal representan momentos clave en los que el conocimiento hispano alcanzó difusión universal y un impacto que continúa plenamente vigente.
